Champions Roll of Honour The Title of Irish Champion A dog must win 40 Green Star Points to become an Irish Champion. Within those 40 points a dog must win four 'Majors', ie, four x 5 point Green Stars under four different Judges or two x 5 and one x 10 point Green Star under three3 different Judges or 3 x 5 point Green Stars plus 1 Group under 4 different Judges. Each breed is allocated a Green Star index figure. This figure indicates the number of dogs/bitches which must be present and showing in order that the Green Star winner receives a five point Green Star. The Title of Annual Champion Awarded to the dog or bitch which has won the greatest number of Green Star points in the breed in a calendar year, with a minimum of thirty to be won under not less than three different judges.
